There are a lot of opinions about naming conventions. Camera naming conventions are no exception.

A good camera name should make it easy for administrators, operators, and anyone else using the VMS to understand which camera they’re looking at and where it is without having to decode a small novel.

So we built a free Camera Name Generator.

Use it to create a structured security camera naming convention for a single site, a large enterprise, or a multi-site VMS environment. 

And because there is absolutely no law saying camera names have to be boring, you can toggle away from “enterprise” mode and explore some less conventional naming strategies too. #SwampMode
